5 Ways you can Act NOW against Fascism!
UAF is calling on all those who oppose the BNP to pledge to register at least 10 people to stop the BNP and to take these 5 simple Acts to stop the BNP making further electoral gains this May.
1.Text the fascists away:
copy the following text into one message and send it to all your contacts encouraging them to register to vote by 16th April. Text them again by 30th April reminding them to vote on May 1st
"The fascist BNP want a London assembly seat in May - register to vote by 16th April & use it to stop them on May 1st www.uaf.org.uk to register pass it on!"
2. The anti-fascist email virus:
copy this text into your email program where you would usually have a signature, so that every email you send is raising awareness around the threat of fascism
"*** On May 1st the fascist BNP will target the London Assembly and local council elections. We have been able to stop them by using our votes - register by 16th April and make your vote count against fascism - visit www.uaf.org.uk and click on the link to register now!*** "
3. Days of Action:
- Help us raise awareness and work with others in the anti-fascist movement. Dates are :
8/9 March , 5/6 April, 26/27 April
4. Adopt a tube station:
- we are co-ordinating anti-fascist activity at all London tube stations during rush hours and are callling on local trade union branches, youth groups, community groups, faith representatives and others to adopt their local train station and flyer them during our month of action (16 March to 16 April) - even an hour a day at peak times gets the word out on stopping fascism. Order leaflets from UAF - contact us for other activists in your area!
5 In the last two weeks before the election UAF will be mobilising the vote.
"Keep the London Assembly Fascist Free Fortnight" will include a protest against their party political broadcast. The Love Music Hate Racism Carnival will also take place on 27 April. If you would like to participate or can help contact us.
